Katherine Thanos
Katherine Thanos is an attorney in the Morgan & Morgan Business Trial Group. Katherine’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, investment losses, professional malpractice, and real estate, and other business related matters.
Prior to joining the Business Trial Group, Katherine spent a semester working at the Department of Justice’s Criminal Antitrust Division in Washington, D.C. where she investigated large-scale price fixing agreements among pharmaceutical companies. Katherine served as a legal intern at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Tampa, where she investigated employment discrimination claims. She also interned at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Atlanta, where she represented detained immigrants seeking asylum.
Born in Jacksonville, Katherine received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English from the University of Florida in 2014. She returned to the University of Florida to earn her J.D. from the Levin College of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Katherine was an Ethos of Excellence scholar, a research assistant, a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and a coach for Florida’s arbitration team.
