Paul L. SanGiovanni and Clay M. Townsend of the Business Trial Group have been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America 2018.

Mr. SanGiovanni has been recognized by Best Lawyers since 2008 in the area of construction litigation. He was also chosen by Super Lawyers magazine for its 2017 Florida Super Lawyers list. Mr. SanGiovanni has focused on complex and commercial construction claims for over 30 years, representing clients including Universal Studios, the Walt Disney Corporation, and other developers and contractors in many multimillion dollar claims. Mr. SanGiovanni has also served on the Florida Bar Board of Governors from 2011 to 2017 and recently received the President’s Award of Merit for his outstanding service to the profession.

Mr. Townsend was named to Best Lawyers 2018 in the area of entertainment law. Some of the high-profile clients he has represented include The Backstreet Boys, Nick Carter, Harlem Globetrotters players, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Britney Spears’ manager, Wright Entertainment. Mr. Townsend practices in the areas of commercial litigation and intellectual property. He tried to verdict with Keith Mitnik the largest judgment in the Complex Business Litigation Court for the Ninth Judicial Circuit ($15 million in Good Gateway v. Thakkar), which was affirmed on appeal in May 2017.
