A Virginia pastor and his wife were convicted on nearly 40 counts of fraud for operating an investment scam that conned their congregation out of millions of dollars.

Pastor Terry Millender and his wife Brenda scammed members of the Victorious Life Church out of millions by promising to invest their monies in safe micro-loan investments and Nigerian oil investments. After a lengthy trial, a jury found Terry Millender guilty of 31 counts of wire fraud, money laundering, and false-tax-return filing and obstruction. Brenda Millender was found guilty of seven counts of the same.
